May 2007: RISE UP AND SING
Performed at Seattle Unity Church
Featuring songs of peace, protest, and liberation, this concert's program reflected the chorus' concern for today's political climate and its hope for peace in the future. Songs included folk, pop, and traditional music from several different eras and countries, as well as songs from Broadway in the spirit of liberation.
January 2007: SINGING THE DIVINE
Performed at Seattle First Baptist Church
Celebrating humanity's rich spiritual heritage, SLGC performed Antonio Vivaldi's beloved "Gloria in D," and Leonard Bernstein's complex and moving "Chichester Psalms." Guest artist Gina Salá joined the chorus for this celebration of the diversity of faith with music from the Sufi, Buddhist, and Indian traditions.
June 2006: SUMMER IN THE CITY

Capital Playhouse, Olympia
The Seattle Lesbian and Gay Chorus celebrated summer and Pride with a program including the music of The Beach Boys, The Temptations, John Lennon, Holly Near, and many others. Guest performers included the popular a cappella group DISH, and Scott Farrell and Jeff Kingsbury.
February 2006: FAMILY

A concert celebrating
family in its many forms, the show featured a medley of songs by Stephen
Sondheim (including "Not While I'm Around," "Send in the Clowns," and "Being
Alive" among others), a lively quartet arrangement of "Daddy Sang Bass,"
"For Good" from the Broadway hit "Wicked," and a rousing encore featuring
"Bohemian Rhapsody."
June 2005: UNSUNG
HEROES
Performed at All Pilgrims Christian Church and ArtsWest
Honoring the legacy of the personal courage and uncommon lives of our GLBT
heroes both local and national, past and present, the concert featured a full
performance of John Rutter's hauntingly beautiful Requiem and a program
of songs, from the sublime to the playful: Before Stonewall, Life
Uncommon, How Can I Keep From Singing and other choral pieces.
Jan.-Feb., 2005: FARAWAY PLACES
Performed at All Pilgrims Christian Church and the Bathhouse Theater
A choral celebration of music from the Philippines to France, this concert included an operatic duet from Lakme, festive music from
Africa and Brazil, American and Scottish folk songs, the timeless O My luv's
like a red, red rose and the intricate rhythms of Ernst Toch's
Geographical Fugue.
June, 2004: MY BIG FAT GAY
WEDDING
Performed at All Pilgrims Christian Church and ArtsWest
Our annual Gay Pride concert took swipes at the Bush administration's
anti-marriage amendment while celebrating diversity and commitment in the LGBT
community.
