About SLGC In its 2007-2008 season, the Seattle Lesbian and Gay Chorus celebrates its 18th anniversary as a thriving and dynamic member of the Seattle arts community. Founded in 1990 by 17 singers, the chorus has grown over the years from a small ensemble to a large community organization performing regularly in Seattle and throughout the Puget Sound area. SLGC is a member of GALA, the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses, and has performed at GALA Festivals in Denver, Tampa, San Jose, and Montreal, Canada. In May of 2002 SLGC was a host chorus to the first ever Western Regional GALA Festival. Its concerts are regularly warmly received in Seattle and continue the chorus' ongoing efforts to expand its musical horizons. In 2006 SLGC performed the national anthem for the Seattle Storm's Kick-off to Pride game at Seattle's Key Arena. The chorus has also participated in Pride events in both Seattle and Olympia. Every concert is built upon the chorus mission: to entertain,
enlighten, and move our audiences through musical and performance
excellence within a community that celebrates and affirms all genders
and sexualities. ContactYou may reach us by mail:
